Our story

Welcome to my cottage bakery! My name is Melanie, and my baking journey took a new direction in 2021 when my son developed a gluten sensitivity. It was a challenge—he could no longer enjoy my regular sourdough bread. That’s when I discovered einkorn, an ancient grain that he could have, and he absolutely loved it!

Inspired by its health benefits and its rich, buttery flavor, I began converting my favorite recipes to use einkorn. This not only allowed my son to enjoy delicious baked goods again but also opened up a world of new flavors for our family as I converted recipes to einkorn.

In 2023, my daughter encouraged me to share my creations on Instagram, and before I knew it, I was on the path to starting my own cottage bakery. My goal is to provide healthy and delicious breads and baked goods that are hard to find elsewhere. I’m excited to share my passion for baking with you, and I hope you enjoy every bite!

Our ingredients

At my cottage bakery, I am dedicated to crafting baked goods that highlight the wholesome goodness of Einkorn and other whole grains. Whenever possible, I incorporate 100% whole grain flour into my recipes, bringing you products that are both nutritious and delicious. I proudly source my Einkorn from a regenerative, family-owned organic farm in Idaho, ensuring the highest quality and a sustainable connection to the land.

Supporting local farmers and producers is also incredibly important to me. I strive to source as many ingredients as possible from nearby farms and businesses, helping to strengthen our local economy and reduce the environmental impact of transportation. Every item I bake is made with only organic ingredients, reflecting my belief that treats should not only taste amazing but also nourish your body.

I believe indulgence should come with benefits. That’s why I never use vegetable oils or other inflammatory ingredients, giving you baked goods you can enjoy with confidence. At the heart of my bakery is a commitment to quality, health, and flavor!
